What They Say
The Elec reports that CSOT has made a special team to try to win OLED business from Apple for its T4 G6 flexible OLED fab. Two phases are live and with the third capacity will be 45,000 substrates per month.
The blog said that the firm had supplied OLED panels for Samsung’s legacy Galaxy M models last year. It will be supplying OLED panels for Galaxy A73 this year. However, it believes that CSOT will have to add LTPO capability to be successful.
It also said that Visionox had failed an inspection by Apple in Q4 as a potential supplier of flexible OLEDs.
What We Think
On the one hand, it’s a ‘no-brainer’ to want Apple’s business, but if it goes for evaluation, CSOT should have some confidence that it might be successful. (BR)
