A CPT subsidiary, CPT Technology, expects to begin construction of new G6 facilities in Fujian, China in Q3’15. Mass-production will begin in the second half of 2017. The factory will produce small-to-medium-size panels, as well as 20″ – 32″ UltraHD niche products, said president Lin Sheng-chang. ‘Niche’, in this case, refers to specific applications such as medical and gaming. Initial monthly capacity is estimated to be 300,000 units.
