CPT Invests in IGZO OLEDs in China

Digitimes of Taiwan has reported that CPT is building a 6G OLED factory in China, to make small and medium panels for smartphones and tablets based on IGZO backplanes. The news site quoted CPT President, Lin Sheng-chang as confirming that the building would be finished at the end of this year, with equipment being installed from January. Production is expected to start in mid 2017, with monthly capacity of 30,000 substrates. Sheng-chang said that demand is strong for small/medium panels and CPT will invest $1.85 billion.
