Continental is set to unveil its “Emotional Cockpit” at CES 2025, featuring innovative displays framed by Swarovski crystals. The centerpiece of the Emotional Cockpit is a floating crystal element that serves as the main control unit, seamlessly integrated into the dashboard. The system includes two key components: a 12.3-inch TFT display with full-array local dimming technology, and a smaller 3.5-inch “Widget Crystal” display that houses an AI assistant and interactive widgets for accessing weather updates, location information, and charging status.
What sets this system apart is its distinctive “Aurora Borealis” coating, developed in partnership with Swarovski Mobility. This special finish creates subtle light reflections reminiscent of the northern lights, adding an atmospheric element to the vehicle’s interior. The coating, combined with precision-cut Swarovski crystals, delivers a luxury aesthetic that goes beyond traditional automotive displays.
The Widget Crystal display uses MicroLED technology, its transparent design creates an illusion of floating content within the crystal housing, adding to the cockpit’s futuristic appeal.
