Computacenter said that its UK business achieved 7% year on year revenue growth in Q1, reaching £361.4 million ($554.8 million), with a 27% revenue growth in its supply chain business due to a specific customer’s spend. Sales were also up in Germany, rising 5% to £252.3 million ($387.1 million).
However, France continues to be a problem region for Computacenter. Sales in the first quarter were down 12% to £90.8 million ($139.3 million), with supply chain revenue declining by 14%, which the company largely attributed to the exiting of unprofitable businesses and a refocus of larger accounts. Computacenter said it believes its French business is “on the road to recovery, albeit the road will be a long one”.
