Rumours have begun to circulate about Samsung’s Galaxy S8 smartphone. The codename of the device, Project Dream, hints at a certification for Google’s Daydream VR platform. Another feature supporting VR would be the rumoured UltraHD display resolution. Sources also claim the use of a Snapdragon 830 SoC, or Samsung’s own Exynos 8890 (used in the Galaxy S6, so we give more credence to the Qualcomm rumour). 6GB of RAM, a USB-C port, a 4,500mAh battery and the dual-pixel technology that debuted in the Galaxy S7’s camera are also said to be included. Watch for the phone at MWC 2017.
