As reported by Digitimes, new data from IDC indicates that digital signage demand is growing, after shipments in the second quarter of 2018 reached 871,300 units, 10% more than the first quarter and a year-on-year growth of 15.9%. IDC predicts shipments of 3.5 million units in 2018.
Meanwhile, AOpen has predicted that shipments of Chrome-based digital signage solutions for enterprise — like its Chromebox devices — will more than double year-on-year during the second half of 2018. The company will launch a new range of Chromebox hardware in 2019.
