Christie Velvet is Smooth

Christie had a small booth at IBC, but still had lots to show. The first thing we noted was the Christie Velvet LED system which was on display. The company has 2.5mm to 4mm small pitch LED displays, with 1.9mm to come later, and the one at IBC, which was a 3.2m x 1.8m set up looked very good at 1280 x 720 resolution. Staff told us that a number of visitors had said that this was “the best projection display at the show” as the quality was so good. Tiles are 400mm x 300mm and can be curved, as they were on the booth. Christie is concentrating on indoor displays and the system is fanless and with brightness of 1,000cd/m
