Christie’s StIM WQ DLP projectors and FHD461-X LCD displays have been chosen to power the visual displays for the Air National Guard’s Boom Operator Simulation System (BOSS) in the USA. Each system is designed by FAAC Inc and comprises three projectors and two displays. Five systems have already been installed, with 12 more to come. The displays recreate the interior of a KC-135 aircraft, using head tracking, voice recognition and synthetic responses.
