US-based Chiaro Technologies has developed a new motion-capable 3D capture technology. ‘Cloudburst’ streams 3D data at 15+ fps (acquisition can be faster), running on a PC CPU instead of a specialised ASIC. The device uses an active sensor based on Chiaro’s IP.
