The Advanced Videowall Group in Canada has installed a 27’ by 4’ (8.25m x 1.2m) video wall on the showroom bulkhead wall at Humberview Volkswagen in Toronto. The video wall has sixteen 46” LCDs that can run a single large image or up to four separate displays side by side, using a digital video matrix that includes five distinct video sources. The dealership also has nine individual HD displays throughout the building that each has a dedicated video feed delivered through the matrix switcher.
Advanced designed the videowall to have seams of 5.5mm, and a resolution of 7680×1080 for a single image. The design allows the dealership to split the display into four 2×2 sections, each with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and maximum resolution of 1920×1080, or two 4×2 sections with 32:9 aspect ratios and maximum resolutions of 3840×1080.
