CableClix of the US has developed a Virtual Private Cable Network or “VPCN” that is designed to allow broadband internet suppliers to offer a service that is similar to that available from cable networks, but using the IP for delivery. The company is working on developing the set top box needed for release and will be available in traditional retail storesx. The service will be offered in Tier 1 cities throughout the US, with roll-out dates to be announced later this year.
