BOE Display has been granted a CNY124 million ($20.2 million) subsidy towards its G8.5 OLED fab in Hefei by the local government. The subsidy will be recognised as deferred income.
BOE’s facility is currently a pilot line, although this investment suggests that the company wishes to use it for mass production. The company’s total investment in the line is expected to be about CNY6.7 billion ($1.1 billion).
