Asian sources claim that BOE has been promoting on-cell touch solutions to smartphone vendors by bundling free sensors with display panels. The move is said to be equivalent to reducing panel prices by between 10% and 20%. It will also bring the cost of the on-cell sensors down by 30% – 40% compared to glass-film-film solutions.
