BenQ Adds Collaboration to Smart Signage Series

The Smart Signage series from BenQ is a range of all-in-one digital signage displays, comprising the screen and software for content creation and control. The first model was the ST550K, and BenQ has now released two new products: the ST650K and ST430K.

Like the 55″ display, the 65″ ST650K and 43″ ST430K feature X-Sign software. This can be used for content creation and management. The Multiple Display Administrator (MDA) application is installed for display control. A collaboration tool called Zoom is also featured. All of these run on a customised Android OS.

X-Sign is able to play content from a USB stick or BenQ’s cloud service. It also contains more than 100 templates, which support animation for text and images, video playback, QR code implementation and a daily scheduled playlist.

Both displays have direct LED backlights, providing 450 (65″) or 380 (43″) cd/m² of brightness. They are both UltraHD units, with a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, 178° viewing angles and an 8ms response time. Frame rate is 60Hz, and both cover 65% of NTSC.

MHL-HDMI, HDMI (x2), VGA, composite and component, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 (x3) and RJ45 inputs are featured, along with two 8W speakers.

The ST430K is on sale for, for €970. BenQ will begin to sell the ST650K in September, for €1,950. Prices are ex VAT.
