Dresden-based deep-tech startup beeOLED, specializing in OLED materials, announced the appointment of Gerd Günther as the new Chairman of its Advisory Board. Günther, with over 25 years of experience in the OLED sector, including a significant tenure as CEO of Novaled, brings a deep understanding of the industry to beeOLED. His expertise is expected to bolster the company’s advancements in OLED display technology, focusing on the enhancement of blue emitter lifetime and efficiency.
beeOLED is looking to position itself as a competitive solution in the OLED technology market through its development of efficient and stable deep-blue emitters, a critical component for improving display quality across a range of devices including phones, tablets, laptops, and TVs. The company, founded in 2020 by industry veterans Carsten Rothe and Volodymyr Senkovskyy, and led by CEO Jan Blochwitz-Nimoth, has previously secured Series A funding, with contributions from lead investors M Ventures, eCapital, and Innovation Industries.
