The concept of Virtual Reality is now known by 92% of people, according to research carried out by VR casino SlotsMillion. Only 23% have actually tried it, most of these only once or twice, and notably more men than women. Among those who hadn’t yet “had a go”, 66% said that they were curious, with 14% very interested. 80% of 18-34 year olds expressed an interest, which bodes well for the future. This group was also willing to spend £134 ($173) on average on a headset, while over 55s would only outlay £74 ($96). Respondents said that they would probably use VR to experience travel, to watch films or TV, for gaming, to see concerts, or to take part in exercise and sport.

The researcher didn’t identify where they got this data, but we assume it was in the UK as the amounts were quoted in sterling (£). (BR)
