AUO’s Sales, Shipments Edge Higher

AU Optronics (AUO) saw increases in both sales and panel shipments in October, achieving revenue of just under NT$37 billion ($1.2 billion) for the month, up by 3.9% month on month and 9.1% year on year. October’s result brought sales for the year to date to NT$339.7 billion ($11.1 billion), down 2.3% from the same period of 2013. AUO’s large panel shipments exceeded 10.3 million units in October, an increase of 5% from the previous month. As for small and medium sized panels, shipments were around 16.3 million units, up 8.3% sequentially.
