AUO’s August Sales Dip 14% YoY

AU Optronics (AUO) reported an 11.3% month on month increase in sales in August to NT$30.5 billion ($938.1 million), though this was 14.1% down on August 2014. Sales for the first eight months of the year reached NT$245.5 billion ($7.5 billion), down 8.1% year on year. AUO shipped 9.1 million large LCD panels in August, up 17.7% sequentially, though small and medium sized panel shipments declined 3.7% to 16.8 million units.
