AUO held a ceremony at its G6 (1500×1850 mm) LTPS fab in Kunshan, China, this week to celebrate the first 5.5″ 1920 x 1080 LTPS LCD panel produced there. The Kunshan fab is expected to begin mass production in Q4 this year.
AUO Kunshan fab is the Company’s first front-end LCD fab in China and production capacity is initially planned at 25,000 units per month.
