Asustek has reduced its notebook shipment forecast for this year to 20 million units, from 22.8 million units and lower than last year’s total of 20.3 million notebooks. However, Asustek still expects to ship between 17-25 million smartphones in 2015.
The company achieved sales of NT$41.7 billion ($1.3 billion) in June, 23.7% higher than May and 22.9% more than June 2014. Last month’s result brought sales in the first six months of the year to NT$220.3 billion ($7.1 billion), up 2.2% year on year. Sales for the second quarter reached NT$108.4 billion ($3.5 billion), down 3.1% sequentially but up 3% YoY.
