Focus Taiwan claims to have heard from Asus CEO Jerry Shen that the company will launch three new wearable products this year.
A second-generation smartwatch will be introduced in Q3’15, with its own cellular radio – meaning that owners will be able to both make and receive calls without a connection to a smartphone.
In addition to the new Zenwatch, Shen mentioned two other “wristband-like” devices to be launched this year, which sound more like fitness trackers than smartwatches. Features will include a lower price, step tracker and heartrate, pulse and blood sugar monitors.
