Asus chairman Johnny Shih has said that the next iteration of the company’s smartwatch, the Zenwatch, could see a battery life lasting up to seven days. Shih said that Asus considers the chips in most watches as too powerful for the tasks they are used for, so they could be simplified, as could the OS and this would be needed to achieve the seven days.
