Asus shipped 4.3 million notebooks in Q2’15, down from 4.8 million in Q1’15 and 4.6 million in Q2’14. Desktop shipments were 500,000 units, down 100,000 from Q1. Asus has said that it is aiming to maintain notebook shipments above 20 million units this year, and expects to pass 4.8 million again in Q3. Desktop shipments are forecast to pass 600,000 again at this time.
1 million tablets were shipped in Q2. The total 2.5 million tablets shipped in the first six months of 2015 were down from 4.1 million a year ago. Q3 shipments are expected to rise to 1.8 million units. Asus is targeting 7 million tablet shipments this year – a flat result. By end-2017, Asus expects its mobile revenues to pass PC revenues.
