Asus is Exclusive

Asus has gone exclusive with its new flagship tablet, the 7.9″ Zenpad Z8: it will be sold through Verizon only. So far, no news on a launch outside of North America has been shared.

Unlike previous Asus tablets, the Z8 carries several premium features, such as 2048 x 1536 resolution (IPS panel) and the company’s own ‘Tru2Life’ processing; this optimises sharpness and contrast to suit on-screen content.

As well as WiFi, the Z8 will support Verizon’s 4G network. The tablet uses a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor, with an Adreno 510 GPU and 2GB of RAM, running Android 6.0. The battery is 4,680mAh and is charged through USB-C. 16GB of storage is built in, expandable to 128GB.

An 8MP camera is built in to the rear of the tablet, and a 2MP camera on the front.

Asus/Verizon are selling the Z8 now, for $250.
