Asus has said that it shipped 5.5 million smartphones in Q3, and expects this to rise to 7 million units in Q4. Such a result would put annual shipments at 20 million units. Asus also said that it shipped 4.8 million notebooks, following 9.3 million units shipped in Q1 and Q2. 5% – 10% QoQ growth is expected in Q4, which would put notebook shipments at 19 – 19.5 million units (a fall from 2014’s 20 million).
