Asus CEO Jerry Shen has said that the company expects to ship between 7 million and 9 million tablets this year – down as much as 25.5% from 2014’s 9.4 million. At the end of June, the company had sold 2.7 million tablets this year: down 34.1% YoY. Shen said that sales are expected to rise in the second half of the year, with the launch of a new Zenpad series. However, an official at the company told Taipei Times that sales would be “very difficult”.
