Asus expecys to ship 16 million handsets next year, say supply chain sources: double the expected eight million shipments in 2014. Almost three million were shipped in Q3. The sources say that smartphone profits will go towards Asus’ tablet business, which is not currently profitable and is predicted to have lower shipments than 2013 this year.
