Apple Granted Patent for OLED Touch-Screen Keyboard

An Apple patent, which the company applied for back in 2015, was granted last week, revealing the potential for an Apple-branded OLED touch-screen keyboard or dual-display laptop device. The patent details two versions of the keyboard—one with a permanent hinge mechanism that opens and closes, potentially a dual-screen spin on the MacBook, and another that can connect to a mobile device via a magnet. The patent covers ways of dealing with potentially problematic reflections.

Of course, Apple already has a secondary OLED on its Mac Book Pro, but, of course, just because there is a patent, that doesn’t mean that the company will make something. (BR)
