According to Taiwan’s UDN Mobile, Apple has halved its Apple Watch shipment targets. The new target is 1.25 million – 1.5 million units per month, from 2.5 million – 3 million. ‘Sources in Apple’s supply chain’ have apparently told UDN that the cuts have to do with the supply of AMOLED displays from LG Display. LGD struggles with yield rates as it is, and Apple is said by UDN Mobile to only accept 30% – 40% of those produced.
