Android Passes Half of Mobile Web Traffic

NetMarketShare is a company tracking usage of more than 40,000 websites worldwide. Recently – July 2014 – Android finally passed iOS in terms of web traffic. Since that time, the OS has built up its lead.

In April this year, Android devices represented more than half of global mobile web traffic for the first time. Apple’s share, meanwhile, fell to an all-time low of 38.8%. Other platforms are ‘all but irrelevant’, with Windows Phone and Symbian hovering between 2% and 3%.
