Analogix Semiconductor, Inc. today announced the SlimPort® NANO?CONSOLE™ USB-C, a mobile-enabled dock with remote for both Android and Windows-powered mobile devices supporting DisplayPort™ over USB-C™.
A simple, plug-and-play solution for streaming digital media, performing home office computing tasks, and playing mobile games, all from a smartphone or tablet, the SlimPort NANO?CONSOLE allows users to:
- Connect their mobile devices with DisplayPort audio/video-out to any HDMI-enabled display to share their media and apps, as well as connect external storage devices and accessories such as keyboards and mice;
- Control their smartphone or tablet remotely from anywhere in the room with the user-friendly and efficient Bluetooth-enabled NANO Remote;
- Charge their mobile device’s battery through its USB Type-C port;
“In 2015 Analogix introduced the first version of the SlimPort NANO?CONSOLE, a breakthrough product linking mobile to TV, and we are now expanding the product line with the NANO?CONSOLE USB-C,” said Andre Bouwer, vice president of marketing for Analogix. “USB-C is being widely adopted in mobile devices, including smartphones, and the video-out function allows your smartphone to become your smart TV or even your PC. Devices that have been tested to work with the SlimPort NANO?CONSOLE are listed on www.slimportconnect.com/slimport-supported-devices and this list will be expanded as USB-C devices supporting DisplayPort over USB-C become available.
The SlimPort NANO?CONSOLE USB-C will start shipping in Q2 2016. Hands-on demonstrations are hosted at the SlimPort booth #21451 in the South Hall 1 of the Las Vegas Convention Center during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016.
