According to a new report from market research firm DSCC, revenues for AMOLED evaporation materials across all applications are forecast to grow from $1.7 billion in 2023 to $2.7 billion in 2027, representing an 11% compound annual growth rate.
AMOLED materials for television and other large displays are expected to see a 13% annual growth rate over the period, while materials for mobile displays will continue to make up the majority of revenue, growing 12% per year to $1.8 billion in 2027. Revenues from materials used in tandem structure AMOLEDs, mostly for IT applications, are forecast to jump 79% annually to $443 million in 2027.
The report shows steady reductions in material costs per square meter over time thanks to improved material utilization, lower prices, and higher manufacturing yields.
Universal Display Corp (UDC) is expected to remain the top materials supplier by revenue through 2027. DuPont, LG Chemical, and Samsung SDI round out the top four material vendors for AMOLEDs, collectively taking a 51% industry revenue share in 2023.
