Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has reported its third quarter results, posting a net profit of $17 million on turnover of $1.43 billion, which compares with a net profit of $48 million on turnover of $1.46 billion in Q3 of last year. In the first nine months of the year AMD succeeded in narrowing its net loss to $39 million from $172 million for the corresponding period of last year, while turnover improved 15% to $4.3 billion from $3.7 billion.
