At NAB NYC 2018, Alticast, an end-to-end media solutions provider, Strategy & Technology (S&T), an independent developer of interactive TV technologies, and UniSoft, a software company specializing in broadcast provisioning, monitoring and testing, will demonstrate how the companies’ combined technologies augment a complete end-to-end ecosystem that allows broadcasters and content delivery networks to fully leverage the benefits and monetization potential of the ATSC 3.0 Next Gen TV broadcast standard.
The demonstration will take place at UniSoft’s booth (N1229), October 17-18, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.
Alticast’s cloud-based solution is designed to enable a seamless user experience for content consumption on various devices in the home with ATSC 3.0 broadcast streams. The joint demonstration with S&T and UniSoft will show how the integrated ecosystem delivers a highly personalized, data-driven user experience with multi-DRM capabilities.
The solution will highlight the ability to deliver ATSC 3.0 content from the primary receiver to multiple devices seamlessly and efficiently, with low latency. The integrated data analytics platform, Argus™, enables a real-time adaptive user experience, as well as personalized content recommendations, no matter where the content is coming from, or what device is being used to consume the content. In addition, the demonstration at NAB NYC will show an enhanced navigation experience that improves the search and discovery of relevant content for the viewers.
“We are proud to be part of the ATSC 3.0 Next Gen TV movement and contribute our solutions for IP-based content delivery to augment the S&T-UniSoft ecosystem” said Jae Park, President/GM, Alticast Americas. “Our combined technologies and expertise will help enable broadcasters and content providers to fully leverage the benefits of Next Gen TV.”
S&T’s ATSC 3.0 streaming technology, coupled with Alticast’s solution, delivers on the following advantages for broadcasters leveraging ATSC 3.0: the ability to provide new monetization opportunities with improved efficiencies, robust reception on various viewing devices and an enhanced viewing experience for consumers.
“We are delighted to be working with Alticast to bring this demonstration to NAB NYC 2018,” said Adrian Fowkes, Engineering Director at Strategy & Technology. “This compelling solution addresses the potential of ATSC 3.0 and will help broadcasters stay in the forefront of the standard and the industry.”
