Actions Semiconductor, of China, has released a chipset called the V100 for personal 3D cinema headsets. It is an all-in-one chip, featuring a MIPS32 processor, an integrated video engine, display subsystem and audio engine.
The V100 supports LCD displays with resolutions up to 1280 x 800 at 60fps. It also incorporates an H.264 decoder than can handle 1920 x 1080 video at 30fps. LVDS and USB 2.0 interfaces are featured.
Several regulators are built in to reduce residual heat and raise power efficiency, says Actions.
