Acer has reported its second quarter results, posting a net profit of NT$2 million ($79,000) on turnover of NT$60.2 billion ($1.9 billion), which compares with a net profit of NT$484.7 million ($15 million) on turnover of NT$81.3 billion ($2.5 billion) in Q2 of the previous year. For the first half of this year, Acer’s net profit was NT$176 million ($5.6 million), down from NT$486 million ($15 million) a year earlier, while turnover dropped 18.9% to NT$128.1 billion ($4.1 billion) from NT$158 billion ($4.9 billion).
