Acer Inc. announced its financial results for the first quarter 2018 with net revenues of NT$54.8 billion ($1.84 billion), a decrease of 2.2%, compared to NT$56.1 billion ($1.88 billion) in Q1 2017. Net income for Q1 2018 was NT$708 million ($23.76 million), a boost of 1030%, compared to NT$63 million ($2.11 million) in Q1 FY17.
Acer has seen significant growth in its gaming line which includes notebooks, desktops and displays recorded 94% YoY growth in terms of shipment, and 60% YoY growth in revenue whereas Chromebooks and commercial notebooks saw double-digit YoY growth in revenue in the first quarter.
