Absen Europe has announced the appointment of Christian Czimny to the role of R & D Director within its EU Business Unit. In a brand new role for the company and the first R & D position based in Europe, Christian will take the lead on establishing a team in the region to develop the future pipeline of LED display technologies and solutions.
Christian will be working closely with Absen Europe’s team based in Rüsselsheim, Germany, where he will also host customer visits. He will also travel to Absen’s China-based facilities in Shenzhen and Huizhou and customers in Europe, as well as industry fairs and suppliers.
He will work with Absen’s CTO, taking responsibility for the overall coordination, functional management and development of the European LED display product portfolio, in collaboration with counterparts in Shenzhen, China, where Absen is headquartered. Christian joins Absen from Lang AG, where he served as LED product manager and event technology specialist over a 15-year period.

We don’t publish many recruitment stories, but we thought that the nature of this one is an interesting pointer to a strong commitment to the European market by this very substantial Chinese LED maker. (BR)
