Samsung Shrinks Smart Signage Screens

Samsung’s Smart Signage display lineup has had new, smaller models added in the US. The company says that this is to address growing demand from businesses seeking to replace static signage and drive increased interactivity.

Two 21.5″ models (the DB22D-P and DB22D-T) and a 10.1″ model (DB10D) have been announced. The DB22D-T features touchscreen interactivity and all three feature the Smart Signage platform, so do not require an external media player. It is the second generation version of the technology, which supports a picture-in-picture viewing mode. Additionally, the screens are supplied with Samsung’s Magicinfo software for content management. Wi-Fi support is built in. All three are rated for 16/7 operation.

The 21.5″ models have 1920 x 1080 resolution and 250 cd/m
