Phones 4 U Falls into Administration

The UK’s Phones 4 U mobile phone retailer has fallen into administration, blaming the recent withdrawal from its business of Vodafone and EE. However, within days of the announcement, both Vodafone and EE were reported to be in talks to take over some of Phones 4 U’s business, including some of its shops, staff and stock. The recently formed Dixons Carphone also announced that it would retain all 800 of the Phones 4u workers which were based in its Currys and PC World stores and which operated as a store-within-a-store.
