Lextar Electronics chairman David Su says the company has commenced trial production of mini LED-based backlighting technology at its facility in Chuzhou, China and will move into mass production in the third quarter of 2018, according to Digitimes.
Besides backlighting, the Taiwan-based company supplies LEDs for outdoor lighting, including streetlights, building facades and stage lighting; smartphone camera flash modules; and automotive applications, such as headlights and taillights for electric motorcycles.
