Sharp’s forthcoming Aquos R2 smartphone features a 16-megapixel camera dedicated solely to recording video, capable of capturing Ultra HD-quality video, with a wide-angle lens, a 135° field of view and electronic video stabilisation, alongside a 22-megapixel lens for taking photos. An AI-powered feature also captures still images during video recording.
Besides its quirky camera set-up, the R2 also features a 6″ notched IGZO IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1440 x 3040 and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor, with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable by up to 400GB via microSD. The phone is also reported to support Dolby Vision.
