Pixelworks, a provider of visual processing solutions, has announced that Xiaomi Blackshark’s first flagship gaming smartphone incorporates its video and display processing technology.
Driven by the company’s third-generation Iris chipset and the Snapdragon 845 applications processor, the newly-launched Blackshark smartphone is optimised for gaming. It features a 1080p, high frame-rate LCD display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a wide colour gamut. Pixelworks’ advanced video processing technology is designed to reduce motion blur and increase colour accuracy.
Xiaomi Blackshark unveiled its gaming smartphone at a launch event in Beijing, China last week. The device is expected to initially be available for purchase in China and begin shipping on April 20th.
