The DS-200 design is based on the Intel SDM specification and is powered by 8th Gen. Intel Core processors. DS-200 measures only 175 x 100 x 20 mm and delivers 4K UHD output and smooth content streaming via a card edge connector, while maintaining high-energy efficiency (45 watts).
DS-200 allows slot-in integration that reduces space requirements and lowers deployment and field maintenance costs. It also features built-in I/O such as HDMI, mini DP++, USB 3.1, and a single LAN (RJ-45). DS-200 enables media playback and display and is ideal for all-in-one signage applications with space constraints.
“Advantech is working closely with Intel to develop a new generation of modular digital signage solutions and DS-200 is the first one based on the Intel® SDM architecture”, said Stephen Huang, Associate Vice President of Advantech Embedded IoT Group. “We hope to combine high display computing capabilities and integrated display modules to deliver a new age of digital signage experiences in visual IoT applications, as well as empower multiple vertical markets such as retail, medical and more”, added Stephen.
“At the heart of digital signage is the ability to provide fast, multifunctional, scalable interconnections between devices and the cloud to meet rapidly changing application requirements,” said Jose Avalos, vice president of IoT Visual Retail Group, Intel Corporation. “Intel® Smart Display Module Large (Intel® SDM-L) with Intel® Core™ vPro™ processors enables Advantech to provide the technology in a compact and optimized form factor to meet the fundamental design and implementation needs of new digital signage solutions to enable the next generation of Digital Signage solutions to deliver rich interactive, productive and memorable experiences.”
Advantech will be exhibiting at booth 8-G190 at ISE, Amsterdam RAI, from 6 to 9 February, 2018. If you are interested in joining our networking activity, please contact [email protected].
