Toyota has announced that it will soon do away with its proprietary infotainment platforms in favour of Apple CarPlay, starting with its 2019 Avalon sedan.
Other Toyota vehicles that are currently operating on the manufacturer’s Enform 2.0 or Entune 3.0 platforms will also receive CarPlay support in the future, including the Lexus range.
The 2019 Avalon will also reportedly feature Alexa voice control and smartwatch connectivity.
