IHS Markit has updated its LED Supply & Demand Market Tracker, and it’s good news for Nationstar.
After fighting for a spot throughout 2016 and early 2017, the Chinese company—which specialises in LED lighting and signage—has finally entered the top 10, registering packaged LED revenue of $112 million in the second quarter of 2017.
The figures represent not only a 48% growth on the first quarter of 2017, but also a 48% growth year-on-year from the second quarter of 2016.
The report goes on to highlight the growth of Chinese vendors in the market. Nationstar’s countrymen MLS are set to double their growth from 2013, the year they entered the IHS top 10. The company is currently at fourth place on the list, having registered a second-quarter revenue of $247 million.
Other Chinese firms including Hongli, Jufei, Shenzhen MTC, and Refond are estimated to be in close pursuit of Nationstar.
