Visionect has released the Onethree, a 13″ E Ink-based display for office use that is said to work for a year on less power than needed to make a cup of coffee. The display is wireless and has a glass and aluminium case. Visionect calls it a ‘Place and Play’ display and it can be used for digital signage and also for room booking etc.
The display is a 13.3″ display with 16 greyscales using E Ink Carta technology with 1600 x 1200 resolution. Wi-fi is supported at 2.4GHz to 802.11 b/g/n and there is a built in magnetic 100 x 100mm VESA mount. The lithium polymer battery of 10,000 mAh is expected to last a year without charging to allow use in digital signage applications.
The product is available in slate grey or black by pre-order now for €799 and with limited shipment in July. The full price will be €1,199 with volume production in the autumn.
