TiVo and Roku have signed a multi-year intellectual property licence agreement covering both company’s patent portfolios as well as OTT assets of the intellectual ventures patent portfolio under the TiVo/IV licensing partnership. In addition, the agreement includes an option for Roku to access TiVo’s metadata and other products to further power intuitive search and navigation.
TiVo’s research and development programme has enabled it to generate a large media and entertainment patent portfolio.
