LG Electronics Result 27/10/16

LG Electronics Inc. recorded Q3 net losses of ₩81.5 billion ($71.0 million), compared with profits for the same period last year of ₩124.8 billion ($108.8 million), on revenue which fell to ₩13.2 trillion ($11.5 billion) from ₩14.0 trillion ($12.2 billion). For the nine months there were profits of ₩385.1 billion ($335.6 million), down from ₩389.6 billion ($339.5 million), on turnover which slipped to ₩40.6 trillion ($35.4 billion) from ₩41.9 trillion ($36.6 billion). The quarterly loss was attributed to declining sales in mobile communications, which includes LG’s smartphones, but home electronics, which includes its TVs, saw increased profitability.
